Good Evening Star Parents!

This is Jenny Hayes, Principal at Stantonsburg Elementary, calling with important information for the upcoming week.

Beginning tomorrow, all teachers will be using Class Dojo as a means to record student behavior.  If your child's teacher has not been using Class Dojo previously, you will receive information on how to connect to your child's Class Dojo.  This is a unique way to reward students for positive behavior as well as track negative behavior.  It is also a means of two-way communication between home and school.  It will take the place of the hands and stars that have previously been posted throughout the school.  Students will receive PBIS rewards based on receiving at least 90% positive points throughout the 9 weeks.  We hope this is a positive experience for everyone and would love your feedback in the future.

We are hosting a STEM Day on Wednesday throughout the day.  Parents are invited to attend.  K-2 will participate from 8:30-10:50am and 3rd-5th grades will participate from 12:30-2:30.  Come out and join in on the fun!

Reports cards will be sent home on Wednesday.

Our 5th graders will go see the NC Symphony on Thursday morning.

Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm, our K-2 students will perform in their Spring Concert in the school gym.  Join us for lunch or dinner at Hwy 55 for our Spirit Night.  10% of all sales will benefit our PTO.

Go to Five Below this week and let them know you would like a percentage of your purchase to go to Stantonsburg Elementary.

Students who would like to submit drawings for the Spring Fling T-shirt should do so by Monday.

Friday is the 1st day of our Spring Break.  There will be no school.  Students will return to school on Monday, April 9.

I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Spring Break!

Thanks and have a great evening!
